GAMBIA: THE LEADER OF THE BANJUL MUSLIM ELDERS ALIEU MBOGE DIES

The leader of the Banjul Muslim elders Alieu Mboge, has died. Mr. Mboge passed away this morning.  This followed his hospitalization at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH).

Mr. Mboge’s hospitalization followed reports that he was infected with Coronavirus.

Arraignments are currently being made to collect his body at the hospital.

Mr. Mboge had served as Managing Director of The Gambia Ports authority during the PPP thirty years rule. He was also the Managing Director of the defunct National Trading Center (NTC).

The Gambia’s Coronavirus infection rate had increased in recent weeks. The country had registered over three hundred COVID-19 cases. Many are dying from the virus.
