The Lower Badibu MP Alhagie Jawara has condemned what he called the “contemptuous conduct” of Sainey Marenah, the Public Relations Officer for Gambia’s Constitutional Review Commission (CRC). Jawara said Marenah has been on Facebook inciting hostile Gambian facebookers to force MPS to pass the draft constitution. According to Jawara, Marenah’s conduct was not only unethical, but contemptuous.
“Facebook and Whatsapp cannot dictate to us how to run business here. They have been using Facebook and Whatsapp to earn cheap fame. We will not be bullied, we have a work to do here,” Jaware said.
Jawara said Marenah was part of a Facebook timeline, where MPs have been routinely attacked. He said it is wrong for Marenah to engage in such an unethical conduct. He warns that Marenah’s conduct is a contempt to the National Assembly.
