Mr. Kebba Mbye of Touba Mourit village, has been appointed District Chief of Niamina Dankunku, Freedom Newspaper has been reliably informed. Mr. Mbye replaces Mr. Sulayman Keita of Dankunku village. Mr. Keita is said to be ill. He is currently out of the country. He is said to be seeking treatment overseas.

The Niamina Dankunku chieftaincy position had been occupied by different communities living in that District. This is the first time that a native of Touba Mourit has occupied such a position.
