The recent selection of Ousainou Darboe as the party’s flag bearer in the December 4th, 2021 is a decoy calculated to fool Barrow’s National People’s Party (NPP). Darboe is not going to run in the upcoming election. UDP’s trick is to bring the oppositions’ attention on Darboe in a bid to surprise the nation with their secret candidate. Lamin Sanneh, the former OIC Chief Executive Officer would become the UDP flag bearer.
Inside the UDP top echelon, word around has it that Darboe has some legal issues, which could disqualify him from running in the coming polls. Darboe himself knew that his candidature is not guaranteed—given the aforementioned legal issues. Darboe and his UDP are playing chest game with Adama Barrow.
UDP is good at politics. No doubt about that. The party is good at controlling the narrative.
Already, the gullible NPP, is feeding into the UDP decoy. The party has convinced itself that Darboe is the UDP chosen Presidential candidate in the 2021 elections.
Lamin Sanneh and Talib Bensouda are UDP prospective Presidential candidates for the UDP. This is no secret within the party.
For those disputing my claim, time will tell. The UDP is one of the most vulnerable parties when it comes to access to information and infiltration. The party survives on numbers. Anyone could join them under the disguise of being a supporter and he or she would be embraced.
Aging goes with medical issues. At his age, he wouldn’t be able to effectively perform the functions of the Presidency.
