The Guinean rape accused person, who has tested positive for coronavirus, has been moved from the Budung police station, where he was detained in a crowded cell to be quarantined to the COVID-19 treatment center, sources have told this medium. Alieu Barry was escorted by two police officers, while on board HQ16 Kanifing. He was transported to the COVID-19 center this afternoon.
Mr. Barry has been accused of defiling a minor. Sources said Barry hasn’t denied the accusations.
His removal from the Bundung police station followed a Freedom Newspaper publication exposing the health ramifications associated with allowing a corona infected patient to be exposed to inmates and police officers on duty.
Barely less than 24 hours of our publication, the police command has responded by moving the inmate to a quarantining site.
