LOL! – JAMMEH RESORTS TO DICTATORSHIP & ILLEGALITY!

APRC’s “Action Man”, so named by Jammeh himself, Bala Jahumpa, was a supporter of Jammeh and a stalwart of the APRC to the end.

Action Man is absolutely right when he says: “Yahya Jammeh has no power to dissolve the APRC executive because they made a decision Jammeh does not agree with”. Period.

AD

Lawfully, and in the eyes of the Independent Electoral Commission, there is only one APRC: the one led by FJT. That will remain the position until the next Congress of the APRC choses new leaders. Jammeh’s new appointees are simply a legally unrecognized splinter group.

THE APRC SHOULD HAVE ABANDONED JAMMEH IN JANUARY 2017

The APRC should have abandoned Jammeh in 2017, and certainly by the time Jammeh’s crimes against The Gambian people were laid bare for the whole world to see by the Janneh Commission and the TRRC. The evidence from both Commissions is enough to charge Jammeh – and to ban him forever from public office (as has happened with UDP’s ‘Commando’ Momodou Sabally). The evidence from both Commissions is more than enough for the IEC to declare that “Yahya Jammeh is NOT a fit and proper person to lead ANY political party”. It is as simple as that.

Action Man is therefore right to say that “APRC followers should ignore Jammeh and follow FJT” to pursue their interests within the law in the New Gambia.

HAS JAMMEH BROKEN THE TERMS OF HIS “ASYLUM” IN E.G.?

I would say so. The conditions of Jammeh’s “retirement” required him not to interfere in the politics of New Gambia. That was exactly the terms of Sir Dawda Jawara’s return to The Gambia – and Sir Dawda kept his word. Jammeh’s purported declarations from E.G., IF true, are a serious breach of his “asylum” and any Govt. of The Gambia that takes office after January 2022, and the International Community, should demand that Jammeh’s asylum in E.G. be revoked.
